Texas Tech coach Mike Leach has been suspended from his duties due to complaints regarding the coach's ill-treatment of an injured player.
Reportedly, a player and his parents filed a complaint against Mike Leach because of his inappropriate treatment after the player received some undisclosed injury.Following the complaint, the school took immediate action against Leach, suspending him then and there.
The player has been identified as Adam James, son of Craig James, a ESPN college football analyst. This posed a problem for the upcoming Valero Alamo Bowl against Michigan State. The match is supposed to take place on January 2, so it has been decided upon that Ruffin McNeill will take over as interim coach.Abusive treatment on part of the coaches has long been a subject of discontent amongst players. Almost one month back, with the resignation of Mark Mangino in Kansas in a similar case, the issue of abusive treatment has been finally brought to light. And while suspension of Mike Leach has already been ordered, investigations are on in full swing.
