MNS CHIEF Raj Thackeray has said that film producer Mahesh Bhatt is on his radar for falsely accusing 11 MNS workers of extortion and getting them implicated in a case.
Speaking at a function at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (MNS) in Mumbai, Thackeray said that Mahesh Bhatt had called the chief minister to implicate his workers in a false extortion case, and asking what was the need for eleven of his workers to go and ask for money. MNS chief further said that his party will keep checking whether the foreigners working in films have proper work permits or not. He said that instead of asking for money, his MNS men had visited set to check the working permits of the foreigners.
Thackeray further said that artistes from foreign countries are working illegally and government has not bothered to check their bonafides. Meanwhile, close on heels of Thackeray's threats, the Maharashtra chief minister Ashok Chavan today issued a warning to the MNS chief and asked him not to take law in his own hands. Chavan asserted that Thackeray might have to face severe consequences if he continues to preach hatred and create chaos in Mumbai.
