Thank God for social networking sites, I have a social life...
Social networking has become an integral part of our lives and all the arguments about living in a virtual world have no effects on the users. Social networking sites help us to stay connected with our friends and also help us to enjoy a social life.
YOU WAKE up in the morning still yawning...The second thing you do (the first being checking your messages) is log on to Facebook and update your status about a dream you saw during whatever hours you managed to sleep. (You did manage to leave facebooking or tweeting for a few hours of sleep).

Then you wake up, do your daily chores and again update your facebook account and tweet about your plans of the day. By the end of the day you might be extremely exhausted and all you want to do is take a nap but then you have to do something even more important. Yes, you guessed it right... Get back to social networking. After all we live in a society and it is all about networking. We spend time thinking about unique status and wonder ‘how many people on my list are going to like it and how many are going to share their thoughts’. The irony lies in the fact that out of all the people in your friend list you will never strike a conversation with them on a personal level and you have no clue about their life.

You upload your special captured moments and enjoy parading those captured moments to the world. Can there be any logical reasoning for doing so? Is it satisfying to show-off to the world that you are living a good life? Do you want to be envied by the world? There are no answers of these questions. Every individual will come up with their own explaining, maybe illogical explanations.

Today, the entire world is an active member of the social networking sites. Weather it is Priyanka Chopra tweeting about her various shooting schedules or Karan Johar giving updates about his gyming routine. Singer A R Rahman also updates his facebook account on a regular basis and says that this medium helps him to reach out to his fans.

Social networking has become an integral part of our lives and all the arguments about living in a virtual world have no effects on the users. After all it is the ‘social networking’ fever and there is no scope that the temperature will come down soon.
