The 2015 Asia Championship of Poker hosts football legend Ronaldo in Macau
The Asian Championship of Poker (ACOP) is the largest annual poker festival in Asia. Sponsored by PokerStars, the Asia Pacific Poker Tour is the region's richest and most popular poker tour.
One of ACOP's highlights this year's was the participation of PokerStars' Brand Ambassador Ronaldo, one of the greatest footballers of all time. He is widely regarded as the Brazilian football legend of all time and has won the World Cup and the Ballon d'OR twice during his career.

After his international success story on the soccer field, Ronaldo turned to the poker table. Poker, he said, provided him with a new challenge in life which is why he was very excited to come to Asia's largest poker festival where the game is booming.

During his first-ever visit to Macau he spoke about his passion for Poker, competed in the tournament and showcased his involvement with PokerStars through a press conference held at the City of Dreams. Ronaldo is not new to the Poker world. Earlier this year he came 26th in the 2015 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) Main Event for $42,180.

With the great success of last year's ACOP in mind, that attracted nearly 3,000 entrants and awarded more than HK$116 million (USD $15m) in prize money, the 2015 ACOP not only demonstrated that football legends can be poker stars, but also provided poker enthusiasts with the chance to test their skills against some of the world's best players in the most glamorous of Asia Pacific destinations.
