The Asian Roulette - Part 1
The regions of South west Asia and the middle east remain turbulent at the best and chaotic at their worst, with each country plotting with another for regional supremacy while the superpower nations have their own vested interests in the region.
“The Last man standing will see the Pakistanis along with their Chinese friends laughing at him, this last man would be none other than a US marine, the lone survivor who had fought and won somebody else’s war in Pakistan” The majority of people in the Arab world adhere to Islam and the religion has official status in most countries. Shariah law exists partially in the legal system in some countries, especially in the Arabian Peninsula, while others are secular. The majority of the Arab countries adhere to Sunni Islam. Iraq, however, is an exception with approximately 65 per cent of its population belonging to the Shia sect. Many countries like Lebanon, Yemen, Kuwait, and Bahrain have large Shia minorities along with majority populace belonging to the Sunni sect. Saudi Arabia has only two provinces having Shia minority and those are the eastern province Al-Hasa region and the southern provincial city of Najran. Ibadi Islam is practiced in Oman and Ibadis make up 75 per cent population of the country. The Arab world seeks to encompass the other Muslim countries in Europe and Asia, hence carving out an independent kingdom. The entire Arab world could be divided in to three parts in the near future; the Americans will control Saudi Arabia and its allies, the Russians central Asian region with Iran and Iraq and the Chinese Pakistan, Afghanistan and Balochistan. Egypt will control the North African regions and would display an independent non aligned policy. We Indians would be at peace with one and all. While, the Saudi Arabs want final supremacy as the lone power and representative of the entire Muslim world due to the holy Muslim sites being on their soil, the Egyptians see themselves as masters of North African predominantly Muslim nations and an equal partner with the Arabs. The Egyptians also see themselves as the bastions of PLO movement and its territory and the only wall against Israel. The Iranians want themselves as the leaders of the Arab league as they consider themselves superior to all. The Iraqis are not far behind with their own agendas and want the entire Shia world to unite with them and carve out an empire from all existing Shia dominated minority regions in different Arab countries. The Chinese, Russians and Americans want themselves soundly and permanently based/entrenched in the region and hold the strings of power with Pakistan's army being their watchdog. The Afghanis and the region wants to be left alone and heal their wounds in peace but that is not too be with Pakistan providing dubious fake medicine on behest of the ISI. We Indians are the only nation that see the nation without any greed and believe in peaceful co existence and friendship with all based on mutual understanding, respect and trust. Good, healthy and prosperous relations with all are our only motto. We are the only country which wants good for all the nations and enmity with none. The Israeli’s want military and political supremacy in the region, remove Palestinians and make West Bank their own undisputed territory. The Israeli’s should thank their holy stars as they have a big Jewish majority in the US or otherwise US only would have sided with the Arabs and made them landless once again. We in India have all the sympathy for them. The Americans want complete control over the entire region with Saudi Arabia acting as the main state of control and the Pakistani Army as their force of strength in the area. They want all Russian and Chinese designs thwarted in the region forever.
