China has already illegally mined Indian iron ore and other minerals for long which have gone to build the present China in a big way today, whereas China slaps and publicly humiliates us on all fronts. The Asian Age in an article on 30th July had reported the comments of the apex Court about the massive exports to China from India’s Bellary mines, the CJI has been quoted as saying, “It should be a matter of grave concern for all why Indian resources should contribute to strengthen the economies of other countries.”

We are the only country in the world, which believes in ‘strengthening its own enemies’ hence the accused in the mining scam are nothing less than traitors in my view and hence should be treated as such. This is why the above corruption angle seems true to me. I doubt how many such other dubious activities and deals by our politician cum bureaucrats cum foreign agents nexus are yet to be uncovered. This nexus is also highlighted by the Swiss government deliberately conniving with the corrupt Indian traitors in only disclosing select ‘Black Money’ related data only from 1st January 2011, onwards. The data from the previous years is still being kept a ‘secret’ as it may form the bulk of the trillion odd USD black money deals. This is ridiculous as the Swiss are disclosing to the US data, which is not inhibited by any time frame at all. Pleas for disclosures by many right-minded Indians is ignored lest their dubious deals become public. This same nexus is behind in keeping our country weak and meek vis-à-vis China. This nexus has kept us deliberately militarily weak over the years right from the Soviet era.

China has started mining in a big way in Arunachal Pradesh, the Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean for ‘rare earth metals’ such as terbium and dysprosium, which go into making LCD screens, compact fluorescent bulbs, and the strong permanent magnets used in hybrid car batteries and wind turbines. Their use in hybrid car batteries and military equipment is important to keep the materials magnetized at their high operating temperatures.

Vietnam still seems to be in two minds about giving its nod for a $5-billion integrated Tata Steel plant, first agreed upon in 2007. Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang, who is in Delhi on a five-day state visit, is expected to give permission to proceed but there has been no such indication as yet. I also doubt anything coming out of the oil exploration deal as well. The fear of Hanoi from Beijing can be seen in its decision to send General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to visit Beijing the same day that President Truong Tan Sang began his state visit to India.

This is only a prelude to the blockage of our other South Eastern economic endeavors. I consider China will dominate the silk Route and curtail its going through India by annexing Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Bhuttan, Nepal, Akasi Chin, Tibet, parts of Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand.

I see that we also being not included as part of the unified ‘Asian Currency’, which would be totally backed by renminbi. The world knows about the reality of our standing and image in SAARC nothing less than a ‘loud mouth’.

It seems to me to be draconian the way Beijing has publicly taken exception to our joint oil and gas exploration with Vietnam in the South China Sea. The territory that China claims as its territorial waters and forgets about their similar forays into our domain in Bay of Bengal, Indian Ocean and Antarctic Ocean. It is a mystery that why we have never been able to strongly protest against the Chinese expansion into Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal, and Myanmar etc. The reason is simple ‘We are Military weak’. Our military uses near World War two Technologies because corrupt Babus and politicians buy them as latest hi tech equipment. The plane in which the Sikkim and Andhra ministers were killed and other Chinese air intrusions was surprisingly not tracked or recorded by our radar? Is proof enough of the above statement. Why we are not able to do what our enemies are achieving can be easily explained by the ‘Chinese 24 character policy’. We should also draft a  vision cum mission policy and start building military basis all over Asia, Africa and Antarctica.

The Chinese will tomorrow block our sea routes to Antarctic from their Naval Base in ‘Hambantota’. This is actually the main reason they have developed this Sri Lankan port. They have already claimed huge tracts of land as their domain wresting from Australia their claim to 42% of the land mass. They have built their third base there, the 250-million-renminbi (US$37-million) Kunlun base, joining the Great Wall station in the South Shetland Islands and the Zhongshan station in east Antarctica. They have now reached inland with their bases to approximately 2500 kms of reach. Our space missions too would be hampered as China will tomorrow claim a sizeable territory on all planets in the solar system.

The Indians, as usual, are sleeping. We by now should be planning a military base in Sri Lanka. The International ‘Antarctic Treaty’ has now no meaning now accept for a scientific one. I feel ashamed of our politicians who cannot foresee our nation’s energy needs in this icy landmass as China sees.
I hope that we survive the next century as a nation.
