THE RULING Congress party in Andhra Pradesh seems to be headed towards a tri way split among those who pay allegiance to the 'high command' in short to amma, those who pay allegiance to the T Telangana cause, and the last of those who pay allegiance to the young gun Jagan. The former two seemingly have a degree of overlap while the last are out making a point that if the party can survive without them they can as well without the party.
Those alligned to the T cause have been littrally forced by their constituencies to resign and toe the TRS line. It was largely its own making. To come to power in 2004, the congress did make some convincing poll promises, which now it finds hard to fulfill. Now that madam at the center is tight lipped for the fear of antagonising her party in the other region, the congress people of this region are finding their going terribly tough. With the main opposition upping the ante and stealing a march in the resignation game they are just biding their time perhaps till 2014 and perhaps hoping that the steam will be let off by some miracle .
Those aligned with madam and or the high command are with their legs in two boats. Unable to take a decision between following the High command's dikat and following the popular sentiment in their respective regions. As with the T party, there are other voices as well occasionally grabbing headlines with demands for their own utopia lands carved out of the state.
The last group, claim the legacy of the late leader YSR who stood tall while all others crumbled.
