The curse of child labour
Though government has taken up many measures to eradicate this social evil yet it prevails in our society. Poor children are still found to be working as domestic help, as labour or as an assistant in a tea stall for their livelihood.
CHILD LABOUR is one of the evils of our society that hampers in the all round development of our country. Though government has taken up many measures to eradicate this social evil yet it prevails in our society.

We can find many small children working as domestic help in the houses of many reputed and people at high governmental positions and even in the houses of the people who make rules and laws against child labour. At every government office or outside it, we can see young kids working at a tea stall as a chaiwala (tea carrier), that is also a kind of child labour.

We never care when we get our clothes ironed by a young boy and we don’t bother about the children in our neighbourhood not going to school and doing all this stuff.

It is high time that government should take some strict measures to eradicate the evil of child labour. We, the common people should also try to make our fellow beings aware of this evil and its impact on our society. One should take initiative and try at least to stop himself from being a part of this curse.

.It is well acknowledged that english medium schools turn out better students to march forward in life in all spheres. It is noteworthy to read that Adani Group of Companies (Rs.25,000 crores turnover) in Ahmedabad has initiated steps to teach the children of bottom line sections people like Peons, clerks, malies (gardener), maids whose yearly income is less than Rs.1 lakh, through good governance english medium school/education. Children come to the school as early as 7 a.m in the morning and leave only in the evening around 6 or 7 p.m. aftering doing their home work as well. They are give breakfast, lunch, evening tiffin. Personally, the wife of the chief of Adani Group of Industries is supervising on a day to day basis - it is hope children from this school can emerged as future engineers etc. in a confident manner - SOUNDS TOO GOOD!!! But one such school is not going to solve the issue for a gigantic Indian populace; country needs more and more Adanis to start education in english medium at many places. Hoping this message gets across well with the masses.
