The Dark Knight indeed rises to people's expectations

Batman movie and the third movie in the trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises, has been given the thumbs by the majority of people. Thanks to Nolan's fabulous storytelling style, Indians have got at least one good movie this month, as per the latest reviews and web opinion.

BATMAN RISES again to the challenge and the huge expectations of not only Gotham city but of its audience, and excels. Christopher Nolan has not only pulled off a great trilogy but has also managed to pick up the third and the final series of the Batman from where he left off in his second film, and elevate it to a completely different level and bring catharsis not only to Bruce Wayne but also to the audience. The fact that the 'The Dark Knight Rises' to the occasion is completely justified.

Some reviews point to the fact that the Dark Knight Rises plays in the similar lines of emotional drama and hence it is a tried and tested method that gave Nolan his hit - a formula in which a superhero is caught between his personal self and his image but Nolan was able to beautifully bring it out for his audience- the loneliness of Wane, the madness of Bane and the craftiness of Catwomen.

Christian Bale was always perfect for the role of Batman. He had the perfect physique and the absolute haunting expression in his eyes of a man who was at war with himself. Thus, the final installment was nothing out of ordinary for him. Tom Hardy, however, surprises as although in a weird gear on his mouth we can get the passionate madness of a man whose entire being is dependent on one single purpose. Catwomen, is something different. Anne Hathaway have come a long way from the girl with pigtails in Princess Diaries and she has indeed morphed into a butterfly. Her husky voice adds strength to a character that is normally viewed as glamorous. However, Hathaway brings in her own flavor to Catwomen.

A very safe bet for this weekend especially for Indian audience as they have the resources to pay for bad movies and with this movie there is a bonus of not being disappointed with a film.
