Many factors have contributed to the downfall of Prejean. The main excuse used by the agency administering the Miss California contest was that she did not honour her contract. This is one of the factors that were addressed.
The Miss California Staff released evidence and e-mails, which revealed that Miss Prejean and the representatives had exchange of words. The contract stipulates that the winner must make appearances as demanded by the Miss California and Miss USA Agency.There was another stipulation, which states that Miss California could not make an appearance without consulting the agency. After all, a contract between two people should be honoured until one of the parties decides to terminate it by mutual consent.A contract can also be terminated unilaterally if there is any violation and beauty contests are a big business in the United States of America.
