The rural court has been opened under the Gram Nayayalaya Act enacted by the United Progressive Alliance government at the Centre for taking justice to the village level in a speedy manner.
Supreme Court Judge Justice Dalbir Bhandhari, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Rajasthan High Court Chief Justice Arun Kumar Mishra and some judges were present on the occasion.
Initially the rural courts will function as mobile courts to hear and decide cases under 13 Acts (laws) in a speedy and time bound manner with stress up on conciliatory approach.
Rajasthan government has already sanctioned 45 rural courts of the total 250 such courts to be opened throughout the state.
