STING, THE jack of all trades and successful at whatever he does is fast approaching the age of 60 and he just can’t get enough of life. He is just two weeks away from being the senior citizen (from our standards) and yet he hardly looks or acts 60. He is someone who has tried everything in the creative field.

Right from song writing, being a lead of the band called The Police, composing to acting in the films, he has done it all. He is such a big name in America that he has played himself in several movies such as Bruno, Still Bill and Ally Mcbeal etc. Gordon Matthew Sumner's actual name that is almost unknown to the audience started his career with The Police. From 1978 and 1983 they garnered six Grammy awards with their punk and reggae based music. Like many other bands the police also had their share of breakups but in 2007 they reunited and took a world tour. Sting, as a solo performer had a much bigger career than his band and he known to do things his way. He is flamboyant and even for his milestone birthday he would join Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder and Lady Gaga— for a celebratory concert at the nearby Beacon Theatre, benefiting the local poverty-fighting Robin Hood Foundation. Most of his life has been on the road and in his birthday he is releasing Sting: 25 Years, a box set with various solos from the birthday boy himself.
At a time when most of the people would want to settle in life, he is one who just wants to get on with life. As reported in usatoday.com the musician feels that his last decade has been a blast and he can’t wait to get on with the next part of his life. Although he has written a lot of songs but he has not released anything after 2003's Sacred Love. Thus people are expecting him to give them some of his songs after his 60 birthday.
