The most provocative and predictable RSS choice of CM - Yogi Adityanath
Secularism is dead; long live the secularism! No, it is on oxygen of late.

The English dictionaries authoritatively define the term 'Secular' as ' not connected with religious or spiritual matters'. And the Constitution of India declares that India is a secular state with the 42nd Amendment of the Constitution of India enacted in 1976.

The Preamble to the Constitution has asserted that India is a secular nation. However, neither India's Constitution nor its laws define the relationship between religion and state. Those who had written and amended the Indian Constitution might have never anticipated the concept of Indian democracy as it is emerging today. Now, we can see by the longest stretch of imagination that a sovereign, socialist, secular democracy is going in the opposite direction – in deed and in spirit.

The Chief Minister of Telangana offers Rs. 5 Crore out of government funds to fulfill his personal religious vow to Tirupati temple. The democratically elected PM of India travels all the way down to Coimbatore to inaugurate Siva's statue, using Indian Army planes. The traditional lamp – 'Kuthu vilaku' is set alight on most of the auspicious official occasions. Traditional Hindu pujas are performed before the launching of rockets at high-tech research stations like ISRO. And all that is done in the name of 'essential part of culture' and passed off as normal.

It is the practical application of the hidden agenda of Hindutva that negates the existence of all races and religions and their religious customs, traditions and rites. It is the agenda of RSS and it has emanated from sheer methodology of Congress party after Nehru and is not the original work of RSS. Congress party had already prepared the background of Saffron State. RSS has to carry forward the baton.

The slogans of 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas' are mere deception to pull the wool over the eyes of those who still innocently retain some traces of 'Equality and Diversity' in their thought process.

The experiment that had began in Gujarat when Keshu Bhai was the CM often state is being successfully carried forward to Delhi, and now to Lucknow – here we come!

Today, a five-term Lok Sabha MP, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Yogi Adityanath who is a fiery Hindutva mascot and who is known as controversy's favourite child is being named as the next CM of Uttar Pradesh. He is the most agreeable leader, according to BJP leadership, in UP. The old Ajay Singh – aka Yogi Adityanath had always been in the forefront in keeping the communal politics alive in the country. He had also floated Hindu Yuva Vahini, a Right-wing outfit that has been largely instrumental in his meteoric rise in politics.

He had once compared Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan to Pakistani terrorist Hafiz Saeed during the intolerance debate in 2015; in the same year, he had dared to ask people to leave India if they don't practice Surya Namaskar. Today he might be chanting the mantra of SSSV but he had always played the religious card during the pre-poll campaigns. He has always claimed that issues like 'love jihad' and 'Kairana Hindu' exodus have always been on his party's agenda; he had also said that the hurdles on the path of construction of a grand Ram temple will be gradually removed and its construction will soon start in Ayodhya.

In 2005, Adityanath had allegedly led a purification drive which involved the conversion of Christians to Hinduism. In one such instance, 1,800 Christians were reportedly converted to Hinduism in the town of Etah in UP. In March 2010, Adityanath was one of several BJP MPs who started the defiance to the party whip on the Women's Reservation Bill.

So, the writing is on the wall for everyone to see. The iron fist of communalism is out of the velvet glove in full public glare. It is the part -2 of RSS strategy for 2019 and ahead – till India is declared officially a Hindu Rashtra.

We have to wait and watch how the majority of India takes the country forward. The politics of India has entered into a turbulent phase where the ruling party is consolidating the votes of majority provoking it against the non-existent fears about minorities. It is the politics of attrition where the strategy consists of belligerent attempts to win and control the power by wearing down the opposition to the point of collapse through continuous losses in sphere of resistances of all kinds.

If the justice and safety fail the nation at this critical juncture, the war would be easily won by the side which has greater such resources. The spirit of Bharat Mahaan is at pains!
