Theatre actor Deshik Vansadia preferring play over Bollywood
Deshik Vansadia, a popular theatre actor, who has recently received rare reviews for his play 'the boy who stood smiling..' is now getting film offers but he is preferring plays and continuing with it, taking it to new levels rather than entering Bollywood.
Deshik Vansadia hit big with "The boy who stood smiling" but unlike others Deshik isn't leaving stage for Bollywood. "At least not now" says the actor about the decision that almost seems unusual in the B-town.

"The play is special to me and I am not done yet. We have a tour coming and I couldn't be more excited. I can go deeper and experience the road as the Elizabethan players used to. This makes me feel like a true player."

Deshik Vansadia, who has received rave reviews for his portrayal of a suppressed 8 year old chess prodigy, has been approached by few A-list production companies. The moment for which every actor works towards, doesn't seem that way to Deshik.

"There will always be attractive offers but I am not here to make it. I am here to do good work and I have the opportunity to do just that", says the actor.

We got the chance to speak to Deshik in the break of his rehearsals of his one man show "Madness in great ones" which explores madness through Shakespeare's characters. Deshik will be performing this on All India Radio on 18th of June at 4:00 pm.
