There may be a third person, other than Modi and Rahul Gandhi, to rule the country
Well, the General Elections 2014 are coming closer with each passing day. BJP has already nominated Narendra Modi, its high profile candidate for the post of the Prime Minister. Congress is all set to declare Rahul Gandhi as its candidate for the post of Prime Minister as it is a party based on dynasty and Rahul is a natural heir.
Rahul has no experience of working at the state level or even at the grassroot level while Modi has risen from being a volunteer of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh to become the Chief Minister of Gujarat and is considered to be better bet than Rahul Gandhi although he faces some internal opposition in his own party.
Moreover, UPA has been shaken because of number of scams, price rise, fall in the value of rupee and Chinese intrusion into Indian territory and is expected to lose about 90 seats which means that they may get only 110 seats.
BJP led NDA is also not expected to win even simple majority and may end up with 170-200 seats. On the other hand, regional parties like SP, BSP, Trinamool Congress, AIADMK and left parties, JD(U) are expected to win nearly 20-30 each.
So, it most probably it is going to be a hung Parliament. What would be the exact seat sharing in the Parliament, nobody knows. However, neither Modi nor Rahul would be acceptable for the Prime Minister's seat to the parties like SP, etc.
In such circumstances, it is quite possible that some other compromise candidate may become Prime Minister of the country.
