I MAY not know everything in this world, but there’s one thing that I know and am sure of and that is power of love. Committing your love is a major decision in one’s life. Those words should be kept in your heart until you’re ready to commit, to fight for that feeling of love and to stand by those words forever. It takes just three seconds to say ‘I love you’, and four hours to explain it but a lifetime to prove it.
To say, “I love you," isn’t half as important as meaning it. I believe that romance happen everyday. I feel that little gestures such as your loved one getting groceries once in awhile or simple hugs are so easily overlooked that we forget in our busy schedule to either say thank you or realise that it can be a romantic gesture. Never forget the little things in life.
Valentine’s Day is a splendid idea to open your heart to your sweet one and let know your feelings for her. Don’t ever set any expectations for Valentine’s Day. Setting expectations only ruins the possibility for spontaneity. However, at the same time, don’t give up the desire to be swept off your feet.
Writing love letters is still as cool as it was a decade ago. Something never changes with time. Like the fragrance of red roses on Valentine’s Day. Yes, the world may have changed and e-mails, e-greetings and text messages may be the order of the day, but a hand written letter of love still has that eternal charm and out-of-the-world romanticism, which many would die for. So put your pen to paper and pour your feelings out for the love of your life. Say in simple words what your Valentine means to you, and how your life has changed since his/her arrival. Then hide it in some spot where your sweet one is likely to lay his/her hand soon. Don’t worry if you’re not too good with words, your sweetheart will surely appreciate your gesture. Your effort will culminate into a moment which both of you’ll treasure forever. Even a poem sung by you and played on the CD would make your Valentine’s Day special.
I’m a little valentine,
Made for you,
Of paper, lace, and a dab of glue.
I’m signed and sealed and on my way,
To say, ‘I love you’ on Valentine’s Day!
Take the time to pay attention to your mate. Not only try to please yourself, but make sure that he/she is also pleased. No words are needed. Just looking in each other’s eyes at such an intimate time is such an overwhelmingly wonderful feeling! Men need to understand that it’s not how much you can empty your pocket. Forget the expensive dinner, the box of chocolates and the dozen roses. Take their breath away. Why not do something out of the norm of daily life. Plan a surprise for her which she will remember for rest of her life. The best suggestion is to plan something that doesn’t seem as though it’s been planned. Plan it as if it was your first date with her.
The best way for a person to romantic is by being your own self. Don’t let others tell you what to do. Try to come up with ideas no one would expect. Don’t follow the society. Try and be different for a change this
Valentine Day. I think different is romantic.
