DURING THE recent past, I have come across many individuals, groups and NGOs who have come up fast to deliver something or the other to uplift the economically weaker strata of society. The efforts and their dedication are, no doubt, commendable and needs appreciation from every corner. Although efforts have started particularly to educate the poor children but still, what I feel, there are some areas where concentration be centred.
A number of NGOs and individuals are very much enthusiastic and know the level of gratitude they have to extend towards the society. Still I feel that the work on the following fields needs more attention particularly in under developed areas:
empowerment of women from economically weaker sector
education for maids
education for rag pickers
health and hygiene related programmes
introduction of cooperative movement which is zero
educate beggars so they may undertake some other job instead of begging ( begging is a great menace in the society )
Hope many organisations may show courage and certainly in the days to come they will be extending more helping hand to the needy.
