Things that common people want from UPA govt
The people gave a decisive verdict to the UPA government in the recently held polls. However, the mandate has increased the responsibilities of the govt manifold and there are certain things, which the common people want on a priority basis.
NOW THAT the United Progressive Alliance government has got a decisive mandate there are certain things that the common man is expecting from the new government. Some of these things are mentioned below:
- Top priority should be to boost agriculture production and bring the nation to the level of complete self sufficiency.
- A provision of Rs 2000 pension under social security scheme for those, who have attained the age of 60 years and have no individual regular income from any source.
- To Pass the Pending Women`s Reservation Bill in the Parliament without delay.
- Solve the pending Kashmir issue once and for all in all respects for the peaceful progress of the nation.
- Free medical aid to all above 60 years of age irrespective of any discrimination.
- To tighten the PDS Scheme in such a way that every family gets its benefits to meet their daily needs.
- Top priority for electricity production and availability of sufficient electricity as it is the basis for all industrial development in any country. Hydel projects should also get a boost
- Compulsory education for all upto class 10th and arrangements for the provision of all Facilities to the people belonging to lower income group for achieving this.
- The government should deal strongly with corruption.
- Efforts should be made to bring stability in price of essential commodities, Market price must be in control of the government machinery and laws should be tightened to achieve this.
- Proper roads and water connection for each and every house in India.
- Anti Corruption Department must be keep vigil round the clock in every states then only India will progress, Crime in all the states must be stopped by the CB-CID.
