ThinkLABS brings unique hands-on learning camps for school kids
ThinkLABS is organizing Robocamps for children of standard IV to XII. This would be an interesting opportunity for the kids, as the organizers would give hands-on experience in robotics and it would..
THINKLABS BRINGS a unique, hands-on, learning camp based on robotics and virtual robotics to help young minds develop invaluable skills such as problem-solving, logical reasoning, critical thinking and creativity.

These Camps will cater to students of IVth to XIIth standard and this would take place at different locations in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune from 25th April to 20th June.

Participants of the camps stand to get a chance to visit international educational destinations of repute such as Kennedy Space Center (NASA), CERN Nuclear Research Center; Geneva, Technorama Science Center; Zurich, Paris Science Center and Singapore Science Center. All the places given are tentative.

The camps, which would give a lot of hands-on information on robotics to school children, would be conducted in various Reliance World outlets across the cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune.

Hands-on learning means ‘learning by doing’ and it has been scientifically proved that by actually doing and experiencing science, students develop their critical thinking skills as well as discover scientific concepts.

ThinkLABS has devised a host of hands-on learning platforms based on robotics, virtual Robotics and various other principles of science. These camps gels well into the academic syllabus as all the modules has been designed keeping in mind the curriculum relevance for the classes to which they cater to. This camp would also give the children an edge over others to understand and appreciate science.

The students participating in Robocamps are eligible for ThinkLABS’ National Robotics Championship ‘TRICKS 2011’ and hence stand to get a chance to visit various international educational destinations.

Commenting on the launch of Robocamp, Gagan Goyal; Founder and Director of ThinkLABS Technosolutions, said, “ThinkLabs has been working towards adding a whole new dimension to science and technology education in India and has been making learning a lot more fun and interactive.”

He also added that he have noticed immense potential in Mumbai school students in the past Robocamps. Giving the examples of 11 years old Anjal Parikh from Mumbai and 13 years old Anudruth Manjunath from Bangalore, he said that they participated in their National Robotics Competition Tricks 2010 and won a trip to NASA.

This year too, Robocamps endeavor would be to reach out to a huge number of school students and introduce the wonderful world of robotics and virtual robotics to them.

ROBOCAMPTM, has been designed keeping the academic curricula in mind. Besides introducing participants to Robotics, the camp will elucidate many principles of science and mathematics through interesting demonstrations and hands-on robot building sessions.

ThinkLABS’ trainers will train the young minds to create an amazing variety of Robots like the Scorpion, Gripper, Soccer Playing Robot, Line Follower, Obstacle Avoiding Robot, etc.

Spread over 6 days, ThinkLABS’ ROBOCAMP™, provides hands-on exposure to robot programming using hardware and software. The participants would spend two hours every day, in the cool and comfortable environs, learning how to build and program robots using sophisticated robotic kits. Depending on the type of program they choose, at the end of the camp, the children would be able to take home the robot’s they built.

ROBOCAMP™ Junior and ROBOCAMP™ VIRTU is for students from class IV to VI, while ROBOCAMP™ Senior and ROBOCAMP™ ADVANCE SENIOR is for students of classes VII to XII.
