This coffee has been banned because it contains an ingredient found in Viagra
This cup of coffee will give you a boost of energy not just because it is coffee but because it has a shot of Viagra. Yes, you read that right!

The Food and Drug Administration department of the United States of America has ordered that a specific brand of coffee be recalled from the markets. Why? Because it contains an ingredient similar to Viagra.

The company operating in North Texas that markets the product has been identified as Bestherbs Coffee LLC. As per reports, after the FDA order, the company is now voluntarily recalling its "New of Kopi Jantan Tradisional Herbs Coffee".

The investigators found the results when the coffee product of the company was put under laboratory test. The test results showed presence of desmethyl carbodenafil. This chemical is similar in structural terms to sildenafil. And sildenafil is an active ingredient of Viagra.

As per a statement issued by the FDA, desmethyl carbodenafil could result in people suffering from  lower blood pressure levels to such an extent that it could be fatal. Because of such a health risk, the coffee can be extremely dangerous for men suffering from diabetes, high cholesterol levels, or high blood pressure levels. It could also pose a health risk to men suffering from heart disease.

Another problem with the product is that it contains milk. While milk is not a substance that violates the FDA norms but what makes it a problem is that the company had not declared on the product packaging that it contained milk. The product has the potential of causing  life threatening problems for consumers who are allergic to milk.
