A three-day international seminar on 'Women's higher education for leadership and social innovation' organised from February 13 to 15 in Jaipur has concluded.

India and major countries such as United States, Middle East, Africa,
Japan, Australia and Southeast Asia participated besides some other
In the seminar, participants exchanged experiences
in promoting the empowerment of women; tried to work out a conceptual
framework for female leadership in higher education; suggested the
educational programs that develop self-awareness in women and raise
their self-confidence and proposed relevant programs in higher
education for women leading to social innovation.
Niwai-based Banasthali Vidyapeeth and
Singapore-based Quacquarelli Symonds 'QS in conversation' had
co-partnered the seminar which was attended by around 150
participants from 23 countries, the women issues and challenges
related to higher education were deliberated.
The continuing gender biases in society and sex
stereotypes were denounced and the need for women's education as a
key development objective was stressed.
