Three months after the complaint, finally Gurgaon Police nabs rapist from Pune
Gurgoan Police has finally succeeded in arresting a rapist who was absconding since last three months. The accused was nabbed on Sunday from Pune, Maharashtra and is on police remand for four days.
The Gurgaon police achieved the end when, by the long run, hard efforts of the SIT team including sub inspector Sandeep Kumar, head constable Neeraj Kumar and constable Subhash, fished out the accused, Rohan Jagdale from Pune.

A girl registered a complaint with Sushant Lok Police station against Rohan Jagdale accusing him of treachary, rape and abortions. The girl, in her complaint, told the police that the man fooled her for two years assuring her of marrying her and raped her.

Also, during those two years, the girl went through two abortions forced by Rohan. Every possible place where the police could have an evidence were searched including Jagdale's office and his hometown but, no proof could be found.

Looking at the seriousness and sensitivity of the case, a Special Investigation Team ( SIT) was set up to grab the accused under the guidance of Assistant Commissioner of Police DLF, (Gurgaon), Naresh Ahlawat, SHO (Sushant Lok) and other policemen. Also, a sum of Rs. 10,000 was announced as a reward for the one who informs the whereabouts of the Jagdale.

During the investigations, two arrest warrants were issued against the convict. Based on the secretive informations, the Police formed special teams. One team went to the hometown of the accused i.e. Bhilai ( Chhatisgarh), the other for NCR and the third one was sent to Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. ACP Naresh Ahlawat directed the team that was in Pune to check the addresses of the guilty's friends as the police was informed that Jagdale was hiding at one of his friend's house.

When police questioned Jagdale's friend, Anupam, he broke the silence and told everything about Jagdale. Jagdale was arrested from E Sqaure cinema hall, Pune. Three mobile phones, a SIM card, a laptop, an Internet account with ICICI and two other accounts, two credit cards and three ATM cards were seized from the accused.

After producing Rohan before a court in Pune, the SIT team brought him back to Gurgaon on a four day transit remand. Alok Mittal, the Gugaon Police Commissioner, appreciated the achievement of the SIT and promised rewards. Accused, Rohan Jagdale will be produced in court today.
