Tiger Woods favorite for British Open Championship 2010
The 150th British Open Championship 2010 begins on Thursday, July 15, at The Old Course in St. Andrews, Scotland. Tiger Woods is currently the 5/1 favorite in the 150th British Open Championship 2010.
THE 150TH British Open Championship 2010 begins on Thursday, July 15, at The Old Course in St. Andrews, Scotland. The British Open Champions Challenge will be played over holes 1, 2, 17 & 18 of The Old Course. The best score recorded at each hole by an individual player will count as the team score. In July of 2009, The British Open Championship returned to Turnberry after an absence of 15 years.

World's greatest golf player Tiger Woods, who will attempt to win for the third time at the Old Course, will play the first two rounds of the British Open with Justin Rose of England. Tiger Woods, was far from the lime light of golf for five months from November when he met an accident and his various stories about extra marital affairs came to the worldwide media as news headlines, has not won this year.

Masters champion Phil Mickelson, Lee Westwood, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Adam Scott, Colin Montgomerie, Geoff Ogilvy and Jim Furyk are taking part in the 150th British Open Championship 2010 which is going to start from July 15 and will end on July 18. British Open Championship 2010 will telecast live on ESPN for the United States viewers from July 15.

According to the Totesport, Tiger Woods is currently the 5/1 favorite in the 150th British Open Championship 2010. Others golfers are standing according to the betting site, McIlroy - 16/1, Westwood - 18/1, Mickelson - 18/1 and Harrington - 18/1.

It's not the 150th British Open Championship, It's the 139th Open Championship. There is no tournament called the "British Open". It's the 150th anniversary since the first Open Championship but it's being held for the 139th time. (not played during wars etc)
