A FORMER girlfriend of golfer Tiger Woods has come forward, defending the World's top ranked golfer. Irene Folstrom, who had dated Tiger Woods, when she was an undergraduate at Stanford, wrote a glowing essay on the golfer this Wednesday.
In a piece published on a golf website, Irene Folstrom said, "Tiger was a great boyfriend." In the 500 word piece, Irene Folstrom talked about the details of her romance with Tiger Woods, which lasted for a year and half and how they had broken up amicably.
Her piece is one of the few supportive statements that have come out in the defence of Tiger Woods, ever since his November 27 crash and reports of as many as ten mistresses.
Irene Folstrom, who explicitly mentions, that she isn't "coming forward now for money or to advance any pathetic showbiz aspirations", claims that she enjoyed a normal relationship with Woods, but they separated when she decided to continue her studies and he became a pro golfer.
Meanwhile, Tiger Woods, who is currently back home after another week in rehab, this time in Scottsdale, Arizona, is considering a return to golf soon.
