Tiger Woods roars above everyone to win memorial tournament
Tiger Woods, one of the most successful golf players of the modern era, came up with a brilliant performance to win the Memorial tournament in Dublin. He looked in great shape while he played some special shots in the latter stages of the game. Did we see the Tiger Woods of the past?
TIGER WOODS could not have written the script any better, as he won the Memorial tournament at Dublin. Some of the shots he played during the game were simply, only that he could have thought of. His incredible chip shot at the 16th hole was something that is surely going to be etched in anyone and everyone's memory, who saw the game either on their television sets or on the golf course. Tiger himself called it one of the toughest shots he ever made, reported
espn.go.com. It is shots like these that have make him a big threat for opponents for the competitions ahead. Tiger Wood fans once again saw him roaring and punching the air in excitement after the shot. Scenes like this were only witnessed when Tiger was at his menacing best before ge got embroiled in personal issues and the media frenzy surrounding it.
It was also his 73rd victory and his second victory during the year. Earlier, in 2010 and 2011, he did not win any tournament, and was losing to easy opponents. It was at this juncture that critics lashed out at him stating that his career is nearly over. But, with this victory and his earlier victory, he has silenced his critics not with his words, but he let his club do the talking. What do the critics have to say about it now?
Has he come back to his winning ways? Looking at yesterday's performance, one cannot rule him out of the US Open, which is scheduled to start in around 10 day's time. He will be one of the favorites going into the competition. If he manages to pull of a similar performance, then there would be no stopping the Tiger, who seems to be eager to make up for his tournament losses in 2010 and 2011.
He looked a class part on the final day of the competition, where he was making shots after shots to impress everyone at the green lawns. Tiger Woods would like to start the US Open from where he stopped in the recent memorial tournament. Other golfers would be on red alert, as everyone knows , when the Tiger roars, rest go into the hiding. Will US Open be the same?
