People are now seeing Tiger Woods in the same light as they see rape accused Kobe Bryant -- atleast his Q score says so.
The troubled golf star who is battling lost sponsers and a nearly-dead-now-recuperating marriage has lost fans across the world because of his exposed sex life, misstresses, affairs and drugs.
Q score, a scale that reflects a celebrity's positive appeal has gone down negative to 160% in case of Woods. Marketing Evaluations, the firm that measures celebrities' appeal with consumers, or Q Score said TIGER WOODS now facing the biggest image crisis of his career.
A survey of 1,800 consumers by Q Scores revealed Woods' negative ratings have leaped 160 per cent. He is the most negatively viewed athlete since Kobe Bryant faced rape accusations.
According to Q scores, the golfer's ratings have put him in the league of Jerry Springer and Lil' Kim.
"There were significant declines in his appeal across every demographic, from younger adults to upper income and white collar households, which typically are into the sport of golf," the New York Daily News quoted Henry Schafer, lead researcher at Q Scores, as saying.
President of Marketing Evaluations Steve Levitt said companies that sell products purchased by mothers for their children, such as Nike and Gatorade, will probably be nervous about their association with Woods
Businesses that sell products aimed at adults, including golf equipment manufacturers and Tag Heuer, the Swiss watch company, will probably have less concerns about Tiger's multi-mistress scandal.
"People won't refuse to buy golf clubs because Tiger Woods cheated on his wife," Levitt said.
