AFTER BEDDING a dozen mistresses, battling sex addiction in a Mississippi rehab, Tiger Woods has reportedly said, he wants to woo his wife Elin back.
The troubled golfer whose return to golf is being speculated upon – is set to plan a second honeymoon on the couple’s £14 million yatch.
Meanwhile, the happy couple story looks a bit punctured. Rumors say that Tiger’s 34-year old wife Elin Nordegren has decided to stay with the marriage so that she can have a strong case 6 years down the line, when she claims half of the golfer’s fortune, amounting up to $250 million. Reports surfaced earlier on Wednesday that Elin’s lawyers have advised her to keepthe marriage going for 6 more years so that she can claim the full money that she has her eyes on. Remarkably, despite the embarrassing sexual addiction charges and a devastated image, Tiger woods still hovers as the top athlete brand, says a survey by Forbes. In its second annual list, the business magazine estimated that Woods still represents the top sports brand by an athlete, with an estimated value of 82 million dollars. Woods' remaining sponsor deals with Nike Inc, Electronic Arts Inc and Procter and Gamble Co's Gillette brand will allow him to remain the world's highest paid athlete this year. Woods, who has taken an indefinite break from professional golf, has not been seen in public since admitting in December that he had cheated on his wife, Elin Nordegren. His total earnings were larger than that of the next five athletes combined, according to Forbes. Footballer David Beckham (20 million dollars), tennis star Roger Federer (16 million dollars), NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. (14 million dollars) and National Basketball Association stars LeBron James and Kobe Bryant (13 million dollars and 12 million dollars, respectively) rounded out the top six.
