Time to cultivate China and seek long term gain
This is not the time to boycott China but to get it interested in the Indian market for its survival.

Chinese actor Bruce Lee called it the art of fighting without fighting. Even as there is a call to boycott Chinese goods from certain organisations in India following the Chinese veto on India's move to get Masood Azhar, the head of the Jaish-e-Mohammad declared an international terrorist in the United Nations, this is not the right time to boycott China but the right time to cultivate China.

India should now play to long term Indian interests and short term Chinese Interests. We have a large consumer economy and China needs to sell its goods here as its economy is in a state of recession. India has to keep this thread alive as it converts its own economy into a larger and more powerful and vibrant economy with its private sector which is the most resilient private sector in the world. This will give India the upper hand in the world which it so much desires.

The Chinese look at everything from the point of view of business and since they have certain investments in Pakistan they will do all they can to protect Pakistan. The Chinese also have a major interest in the Indian market as most of their goods are sold in this huge consumer market.

The Chinese see it in their interest to prevent a full scale war between India and Pakistan and they also see it in their interest to ensure that Pakistan maintains status quo where terrorist activities are concerned as these keep India under pressure.
