Times Square shooting: Man shot by cop

Medical workers took the injured man to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The deceased has not been identified but it is believed that he live in Bronx. New York cops have detained another man for questioning.
A New York city policeman in plainsclothes shot dead a young man on Thursday morning at Times Square after the man opened fire on the official. The deceased is believed to be part of a gang which intimidated tourists and was loaded with an automatic pistol.

The shooting took place near the parking garage of Marriott Marquis hotel around 11 am at 46th street, which is a tourist haven.

Police officials revealed that the deceased man was part of a con-gang which duped tourists and demanded cash from them. When these men were confronted, they tried to run away but one of them fired to scare the police officer, who returned fire, which proved fatal.
