Photography during foggy days has the potential to give a gentle hazy and soft feel to your subjects being shots and at times result in strikingly good photos. Generally, people don't take photographs on foggy and hazy days as they don't know how to compose their photographs for such an environment and end up with washed-up photographs.

The haze due to fog scatters light to make subjects dim, therefore fog-photography requires longer exposure time and aperture with emphasis on depth. With this tip, take a lot of photos with a digital camera to select the best shots and delete the bad ones.
Moreover, the camera should be kept steady because of the required longer time. Since shutter has to remain open for a longer duration, chances of shake are more. Also, wipe the camera with the soft lens cleaning cloth or tissue paper before taking every shot since fog tries to condense on the lens to wash-out the picture.
