To build the nation sheer hard work, imaginative ideas and enterprising selves needed
A country is not made powerful by poll promises of political parties which talk of subsidies, reservations, civil security and other such type of crutches. We know that nobody ever won a race or became powerful by relying on crutches. What we need is sheer hard work, imaginative minds and enterprising selves.
So, the Government is best which
governs the least and leaves its citizens to compete with each other
for it is through competition that best of a person comes. We need to
have citizens who can work hard and invent new techniques to take the
nation to greater heights. We need to increase our agricultural and
industrial production through sheer hard work and enterprise.
We need to concentrate more and more on
research and development and innovative ideas so that we could do
more and more import substitution because it is the import that is
eating into the vitals of our economy. Simultaneously, we need to
create markets for export of our products for which hard work,
imagination and innovations are required.
If we export more and import less, only
then we can have balance of payments in our favour and a strong
currency. At present, the balance of payment is not in our favour
vis-a-vis the various countries like USA, UK, China, Japan, etc. So,
our currency is weak compared to the currencies of the various
countries leaving aside under developed nations and hence, there is
no use of talking about economic growth when our currency is so weak.
There is also no equal distribution of
wealth but paradoxically, this equal distribution cannot be achieved
by making reservations or by giving subsidies or by ensuring civil
security but by increasing employment opportunities which would
happen only when there is a healthy competition and the people become
hard working, innovative and full of imaginative ideas. This can be
done by spending more on education and health care.
We need less politicians and lesser
number of Babus but we definitely need more hard working
entrepreneurs, engineers, doctors, research workers and teachers. Of
course, we need not only hard working and innovative people but also
So, we must vote for that party which does not talk of
reservations, subsidies, civil security etc. but talks of building
our national character and economic development by producing hard
working people full of imaginative ideas and enterprise.
