To do justice with his role in `Sarabjit', Randeep Hooda went through a strict diet plan
The talented actor Randeep Hooda, who is known for his phenomenal acting skills and extremes of dedication, is leaving no stone unturned to get the perfect look for Omung Kumar's upcoming biopic 'Sarbjit'.

The handsome hunk went on a rigorous diet and lost a whopping 18 kgs in a period of just 28 days. While most of the actors these days, wouldn't want to tamper their health to such extend, the committed actor Randeep prefers being different.

According to an insider, Randeep had a month to transform into the skeleton of a starving man confined in a 4 ft x 4 ft prison cell. He had commenced his diet since last year during Diwali and had sacrificed the delicious festive cuisines to achieve the required look.

His diet was closely looked by his sister Dr Anjali Hooda-Sangwan, an Obesity, Metabolic Medicine and Clinical Nutrition Specialist who put him on a very low calorie diet of proteins and greens with a few cheat days when he could have some starch depending on his activity levels.

The diet allowed him between 500-600 calories every day, but varied depending on weight, hydration levels, vitamin deficiency and his body's reaction to the food intake.

The dedicated actor whose all efforts are quite visible in his first look from the movie, had a tough time during his diet days but then the actor isn't complaining as what matters for him is the end results, which is getting highly appreciated.
