Black tea generally has a stronger flavour and contains more caffeine than the less oxidized teas. Recent studies revealed that black tea has a number of health benefits. Drinking black tea helps to reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes.

BLACK TEA is a variety of tea that is more oxidised than the green or white tea. Black Tea is made from the same plant as green tea and white tea. It doesn't mean that tea without milk is black tea and tea with milk is white tea. The difference is the way the tea leaves are processed after picking. Green and white teas are not processed much, whereas black tea is processed and is fully oxidised.

Black tea has a stronger flavour compared to the rest and also contains more caffeine than the less oxidised teas. From recent studies, it is revealed that black tea has a number of health benefits. Here are a few for you:
  • Black tea contains antioxidants that prevent the damage caused by free radicals which can lead to numerous diseases.
  • Drinking black tea helps to reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes, as it helps to expand the arteries, which increases blood flow to the heart.
  • Black tea can be used in the fight against cancer. Properties of the tea slow down the growth of cancerous cells without destroying healthy cells.
  • Tea is also believed to help to delay the aging process. Drinking black tea can help to burn fat and speed up metabolism.
  • Black tea helps to prevent tooth decay by strengthening tooth enamel.
  • For those people with diabetes, drinking tea can help to decrease glucose levels, which can reduce the risk of cataracts, and other conditions brought about by diabetes.
Studies say drinking three to five cups of black tea daily can be of a great health benefit!  So, why should we waste money spending on gyms and anti aging creams? Why should one fear cancer when they have a choice like black tea? What is the need to pay such huge medical bills when one amazing potion can help heal everything?

Black tea isn't bad for you. All the true Camellia Sinensis teas are good. Have you heard of Puerh tea? It's one of them, with more antioxidants than green tea yet with probiotics (like yogurt) for healthy digestion and immune system. Do yourself a favor and learn about Puerh tea .
