PRESENTLY REVAMPING of education system in India is going on. Therefore, it is right time to incorporate vocational training in the syllabus for students. It is felt that vocational training should be imparted in 11th standard. Vocational training would help the students to some extent to know about their liking. This in turn would help them in taking the right course after completing their 12th standard.
Institutes like ITI and other of their likes should be roped in, to impart vocational training to the students. Vocational training would also help the students in garnering confidence in facing life after completing their studies. Many students even after completing their post graduation lack confidence to do the job of their liking and these results in them being underemployed. One would find various engineering graduates carrying out clerical jobs. It is not mainly because they did not get the job matching their qualification and it is mainly because they lacked confidence in themselves. The lack of confidence is mainly because of inexperience. Vocational training would go a long way in solving these problems.
Further vocational training would also help students in becoming entrepreneurs. Students would learn how an entire business is run. These would help them to dream about their future and to work towards the same.
