To sensitize children on road safety, PVR to launch safety programme

In a move to prevent road accidents and raise awareness among children of the city about the road safety measures, PVR group in collaboration of its wing PVR Nest and CSR arm, is launching its first-ever campaign 'Steer to Safety' on September 20.

PVR GROUP, French Embassy and six major Indian and French auto and auto ancillary organizations have come together to enable 1,00,000 children from 100 Delhi schools to take leadership and action in making city roads more safer. They also helped and assisted these kids to make their original films and publication on Road Safety during last eight months of the programme.

The launch event will be held in PVR Plaza Audi 1, in Connaught Place, New Delhi from 10:15 am. In recognition of the importance of the issue, Sheila Dikshit, Delhi chief minister has agreed to become the programme’s launch activity’s chief guest. Also Dr. Mallika Sarabhai, eminent social activist and classical dancer is the ‘CineArt Road Safety Campaign Ambassador’ of a programme, who will also address the gathering at the launch event.

Launch program will include road safety measures messaged through theatre, poetry and films on road safety and some some survivors will also share their experiences in the event. Kids will also be taught the leadership module on road safety during the event.
