FACEBOOK, THE popular social networking site is all set to launch operations in India. The company is setting up its base in Hyderabad and for this is purpose it is all set to hire people to man the office, which will come up soon.

This Facebook office will be first in Asia and fourth support centre in the world. Insiders say that the aim of setting base in India is to provide multi-lingual support to the users and also round the clock services to advertisers around the world.

India as well as South Asia also have a a large number of Facebook users and this office will further boost the website in cementing ties and serving them as the office in Hyderabad is likely to provide round-the-clock service.

Hyderabad also has a strong IT base and is a regional software powerhouse, which perhaps is the reason that the world's largest social networking site has decided to set base there. The Hyderabad office could also help Facebook serve its users in a better way as seventy per cent of them live outside the United States.
