John Andretti, the team owner, expects the car to be ready and Kanaan back on track by mid afternoon. While Sunday's crash was seen by many as a replay of the one of Saturday, the IndyCar Series winner in 2004, was able to climb out his wrecked vehicle without assistance. His back up car had gone spinning out of the first turn, with the rear end hitting the outside wall. Tony Kanaan skidded through the short chute on first and second turns, spun again and slammed into the outside wall again.
Meanwhile, team mate Danica Patrick seems to have composed back after her emotional outpour near the Gasoline Alley on Saturday. I was still shaking when I did the interview because we were on a very, very ragged edge out there."
