Tony Scott ends life and career dramatically

After his suicide Tony Scott would be remembered as the genius who almost had it all. In a dramatic way the director ended all his ties with life.

THE SUDDEN and sad end of Tony Scott's life makes us realize that life is, after all, the same for all, and treats celebrities no different. Inspite of a successful Hollywood career, films that have been tagged as geniuses, and a beautiful family, Tony Scott ended his life today after jumping from a bridge and leaving behind a suicide note. Although the contents of the note is yet to be made public, several websites have hinted at the fact that he was depressed.

Why else would a successful director of Top Gun fame kill himself when he was working on a production called Coma and even his personal life seemed to be going just fine. The 68-year-old British director climbed across the south side of the fence of the Vincent Thomas Bridge spanning San Pedro and Terminal Island after parking his black Toyota Prius nearby, and jumped down. He went down at 12:30pm and his body was taken out at 4 pm.

While the most important question as to why he took this extreme steps remains a question for now but it was noted that the director did survey the bridge while remaking the 1979 film Warriors. Brother of Ridley Scott, Tony Scott directed a number of films and produced lot more than that. Apart from Top Gun, his other noteworthy films are True Romance, Days of Thunder, The Last Boy Scout, and Beverly Hills Cop II.

Hollywood as well as Bollywood was shocked and stunned by the director's actions and expressed their views on Twitterville. Noted film maker Shekhar Kapoor wrote, “RIP Director #TonyScott (Top Gun) commits suicide. What a great n successful talent. 2 wonderful kids. Sonam Kapoor, the upcoming actress who is known for her fashion sense, and her opinions, also tweeted, This is so sad.. He was one of my fav filmmakers. Sujoy Ghosh who recently hit the jackpot with a thriller of his own, said, how much I learnt from watching films of TONY SCOTT. no body blended style and pace better after expressing his shock over the news of Scott's death.
