Besides daily brushing your teeth in the morning and before the bed time do daily flossing or removal of the food left between the teeth, rinse your mouth after every eating or munching of eatables. Also, rinse your mouth with slightly warm salty water before going to bed.
Here are some home remedies as a first aid for diminishing the pain before visiting your dentist.
Rubbing the effected area gently with an ice cube;
Placing a clove of garlic with little rock salt on the affected tooth;
Rinsing your mouth with wheat grass juice;
Applying the clove oil on the affected tooth with a cotton bud;
Applying pepper powder mixed with common salt on the effected tooth.
However, go for a dental check up once in three months to have a good oral and dental health. Here, it is to be noted that people in India are least bothered about their dental health and visit the dentists only after they are afflicted with a disease. As such they must realise the important of Toothache Day and start visiting the dentists regularly.
