Planning a trip around India and wanting to know the top destinations? It really is hard to limit them, because there are just so many fabulous places to see in India! Here is a list of top 25 destinations in India.

Here I have put together an interesting list of the top 25 destinations in India as part of its 2010 Traveler's Choice Awards for the Best Destinations in the World. The list is interesting because it doesn't contain all the typical, well known destinations that you might expect. There are a few surprises in there!
 

That said, there are also a few places on the list, such as Mount Abu, that I wouldn't count as being amongst the top destinations in India. Classic destinations such as Agra, Khajuraho, and Varanasi are also absent from the list. But that may be because they appear in a separate list of the top 10 culture and sightseeing destinations in India.
