Top level corruption: Root cause of all ills
The frustration among the poor and deprived people in the country was brought about due to corruption. Money and muscle powers took lead in spreading these ills.
ABDUCTIONS, EXTORTIONS, killings and all sorts of violence have their roots in certain forms of corruption. Since the last part of twentieth century and the beginning of twenty-first century, all types of violence throughout the world have increased day by day. These did not take place overnight. The Indian society also had to bear the brunt of such evils. The frustration among the poor and deprived people in the country was brought about due to corruption. Money and muscle powers took lead in spreading these ills. The rich and influential people began to acquire more and more wealth and property, whereas the poor and innocent had to lose even what they had. In administration the number of corrupt people increased tremendously and the developmental activities were confined only to the advertisements through media. By this time national feelings and patriotism eroded and the new generation failed to respect and remember the freedom fighters, who lost everything they had and the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the independence of the country. No doubt the Government of India started a number of developmental schemes for the welfare and benefit of the poor people of the country and released enough fund for the proper implementation of such schemes in every state.
Unfortunately, there was no checking of the utilization of funds. As a result, such funds were diverted either to other heads or remained unutilized. There are a number of media reports on misuse of funds for development, which require proper investigation. Some people in power have used such funds either to acquire more wealth or distributed among those who helped them to remain in power and even to so called militants groups. This was enough and intolerable for them, who did not have or had to lose what they had. It was the main cause of their frustration, which led them to take arms in their hands.
Every part of the country is severely affected by insurgency. You call it by any name ULFA, NDFB, NSCN, DHD, Maoist, or Naxalites. Frustration is the root cause of their indulging in violence. The present situation is not created overnight. It has developed through decades and reached to deep roots. For elimination of these evils, top level corruption should be checked. It has been found in some cases that the subordinates and petty officials have been alleged guilty for irregularities and misappropriations of funds for development, but not the person under whose direction they were compelled to do so. Attempt to check corruption at lower level will be in futile, unless it is checked at the higher level. Once it is eliminated at the top level, it will automatically lose its root in the ground.
Remember, late Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, invoked emergency to make the country disciplined at a critical juncture, when the situation was not in order. The merits and demerits are to be considered properly. Despite many demerits, her administration had succeeded in bringing discipline in the country.

.Most of the communities in India (such as Bengali), are succumbed in 'Culture of Poverty'(a theory introduced by an American anthropologist Oscar Lewis), irrespective of class or economic strata, lives in pavement or apartment. Nobody is at all ashamed of the deep-rooted corruption, decaying general quality of life, worst Politico-administrative system, weak mother language, continuous absorption of common space (mental as well as physical, both). We are becoming fathers & mothers only by self-procreation, mindlessly & blindfold. Simply depriving their(the children) fundamental rights of a decent, caring society, fearless & dignified living. Do not ever look for any other positive alternative behaviour (values) to perform human way of parenthood, i.e. deliberately co-parenting of those children those are born out of ignorance, real poverty. All of us are being driven only by the very animal instinct. If the Bengali people ever be able to bring that genuine freedom (from vicious cycle of 'poverty') in their own life/attitude, involve themselves in 'Production of Space������(Henri Lefebvre), at least initiate a movement by heart, decent & dedicated Politics will definitely come up.

.Good. Corruptions exist in different tiny unethical forms. If we shift blames to others OR escape selfishly from a situation OR don't appreciate others in time which he or she deserves truely OR suppress and oppress weaker men or women instead of lending helping hand or even simple encouragement. We are to get rid of such shortcomings. Each citizen is important. On the contrary in the country level we need more leaders like Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Indira Gandhi, Sanjay Gandhi, Ballab Bhai Patel, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee to name a few to rightly uplift the potential of real India. We need to ensure availability of basic needs, infrastructure thru total development and literacy. Learned Indians can do better justice to themselves, to others and to the Nation,Mother India.
.At the root of all-pervasive corruption in India is misplaced reverence to so-called freedom fighters and their patriarch celebrated as 'father of the nation'. Any student of history will agree that by 1930, imperial powers started shedding their colonies in the post-World War scenario; the cost of administering them became too high compared to the loot they could manage. The British were set to transfer power according to a formula devised by Jawahar������s father Motilal Nehru. This ������Nehru Plan������ was for a systematic changeover without resorting to lawlessness. It would have put India in the league of developed nations like Canada, New Zealand, Cyprus and Australia long back. Instead, a bunch of high-born lawyer politicians under Gandhi hijacked the so-called freedom movement. Their single electorate concept that equated oppressors to the oppressed people was only to create vote banks. It breeds cronies and corruption.
In fact, the ������Total Independence������ stand at Lahore Convention was a ploy by Gandhi to kill the father������s formula in order to enthrone the son. The ������strugglers������ promoted indiscipline through hartals, bandhs etc and indulged in ������fast unto death������ stunts ������ a scourge that still haunts India. The 'strugglers' employing Gandhi������s khadi-swadeshi rhetoric were financed by big business sharks out of the millions they minted from superfine textiles and large industries. These were the tycoons who flourished under the rule of Nehru in ������free������ India. Their industries had just the public sector units noted for their ineptitude and corruption to contend with as competition. Nehru and Company who inherited the colony from the British, usurping power from descendents of original rulers, throttled any competition to them from private sector in ������permit-licence-quota raj������.
India will remain corrupt and poor unless the false gods are thrown away from their pedestal, like it happened to Marx or Hitler.
