Though the Municipal Commissioner has expressed satisfaction over the developmental works that his department is busy with but we have lot to disagree with.

We have 4 RTI Applications pending since 25.5.2011 and till date, they haven’t been replied, leave alone taking action. Ultimately we had no other option but to refer the cases to State Information Commission, Chandigarh.
Mr Rajpal has very well initiated a Grievance Cell in June, 2011 but even that is not functioning up to the mark. The personnel deputed at the Cell are not well trained and even fail to provide contact numbers of the concerned departments and the same was briefed to him at"mcg_ggn@yahoo.com many a times. The matter was also discussed in length with Ms Nisha Singh, Councillor Ward Number 30.
Water supplied to village Pawala Kurspur is polluted, much below the standard, unfit for drinking purpose. The XENs Mr Pradeep and Mr Dhaiya have been requested many a times to take care but no action. Even leakages reported are also not taken care of and that speaks about the efficiency of Water /Health Department.
There are no street lights; people working in late night shifts face a lot of problems; there is no local bus service in the town. Thus we have solid reason/ justification that the Municipal Corporation has miles to travel to reach its goal.
