Andy, the little boy in the first film of 1995 is a grown up now. He is an adolescent and has joined the college- 15 years later. The film is kind of a farewell, as the children have grown up; there is more action sequence in the film. The moments of comedy are quite less in the film as it has a darker concept.

Replacing the earlier two films director John Lasseter, Lee Unkrich gave it a 3D touch and made it more realistic and the story runs deeper now. It has lost its innocence and is trying to bring an end to the imaginative world of ours. Toy Story 3 implies that its time to grow up and move on.
