Latest news and updates on Toyota Recall 2010: Chrysler Group LLC has started offering $1000 to customers who trade their Toyota pickup or SUV vehicle and buy a Chrysler Jeep, Dodge or a Ram truck. The offer is being made to target current Toyota Tundras, Tacoma and Siennas owners. The $1,000 trade-in bonus will be given with a purchase or even a lease of a Chrysler vehicle.
General Motors Co. (GM) and Ford Motor Co are already offering customers $1,000 to woo them into trading one of their affected toyota model and buy one of their new car or truck. Hyundai also said that it would provide $1,000 rebates for Toyota trade-ins if the customer buys its Hyundai Santro, Elantra or Elantra Touring. All major auto makers are trying to take advantage of Japanese automaker’s massive recall troubles. Toyota’s problems continued as the auto maker said that it was recalling its 1.8 million vehicles in Europe over its sticky gas pedal. Toyota has also stopped its sales of eight of its top selling vehicles. Toyota said that a spacer added to gas pedal linkages would solve the problem for its 2.3 million recalls but did not say how quickly the fix could be installed.
