Toyota Motor executives have been working overtime to fix the problem about the gas pedal.
Toyota has recalled about 2.3 million cars from the market and has even closed few of its plants in North America.
It is believed that the recall would cost the company around $1 billion.
Toyota Dealers would be fixing the accelerator with field remedy kits and North American assembly will resume Feb 8 as Toyota tries to resolve the massive recall of its affected models.
Japan made steel plates are on its way to the dealers which would prevent the pedals from sticking.
Many dealers would be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to fix the problem.
The pedal repair would take about half an hour and Toyota is confident that the issue isn’t electronic.
Now, it remains to be seen if people would still trust Toyota, which took so many years of hard work to build a brand in the global market.
