Toyota Recall: Sequoia SUVs hauled over electronic issues, recall models
Toyota Motors have issued another Toyota recall, this time for the Sequoia SUVs, , has been called due to some issues in its electronic stability control system, which enables the vehicle to maintain traction when it turns.

TOYOTA MOTORS have issued another Toyota recall, this time for the Sequoia SUVs, calling back about 50,000 models of the vehicle. This Toyota recall, which was announced on Wednesday, has been called due to some issues in its electronic stability control system, which enables the vehicle to maintain traction when it turns.

The issue with the electronic stability system of the Sequoia sports utility vehicle, according to the Japanese auto maker is that the the system becomes active at a low speed, which makes it hard to accelerate the SUV as fast as the driver wants. There have been no accidents or injuries due to this issue till now.

This Toyota recall covers Sequoia SUV 2003 models and no other vehicle makes have been included in the recall models. According to the car maker, the problem is because of a production change to address the stability control problem, at the time when Toyota was carrying out production of the Sequoia SUV 2003 model. Those owners who had complained about the problem, had gotten their skid engine control unit replaced by their dealers, within the warranty period.

Steve St Angelo, Toyota chief quality officer, North America said,"Toyota is committed to investigating customer complaints more aggressively and to responding quickly to issues we identify in our vehicles." The NHTSA has also taken the problem up for investigation.

Ever since October, Toyota has recalled more than eight million vehicles worldwide, over issues from acceleration problem, brake pedal problems and the like. After an enquiry, the company had to a pay a record $16.4 million fine to the government. It recently had to recall its Lexus GX 460.
