Traffic woes are a part of Gurgaon commuters life. A little rain, sun or winter everything results to traffic chaos in the city. Inspite of making wide one way roads, traffic can never run smoothly. If this is a daily affair, imagine the state of traffic when two trailer trucks collided. The Delhi-Gurgaon expressway was in utter chaos after the incident.
The collision happened
early in the morning at around 5 am on Wednesday. The result of the
collision was that one truck was sprawled on the middle of the road,
while another truck driver fled the scene with his vehicle. Police
arrived at the road, but were not able to clear the mess, which
continued to increase at the peak hours.
As was reported by the
timesofindia.com, a traffic inspector said, ''The traffic jam on the
expressway had a ripple effect as all the important intersections
like Atlas Chowk, Sirhaul toll plaza, Udyog Vihar entrance, Cyber
City and DLF Phase-I were blocked.'' He further added, '' The
situation was worsened by the rain and the ongoing construction in
Commuters, who had no inkling of the
situation were stranded for hours near the place of the incident.
However, no one was surprised as this is a common occurrence with the
Gurgaon roads and people can get stuck in any part of the city due to
bad traffic management. Although, the authorities try their level
