Tragic death of senior Telugu Desam Party leader K Yerran Naidu condoled
K Yerran Naidu, 55, a senior Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader and former Union Minister died in a road accident when his car hit an oil tanker from behind in Andhra Pradesh's Srikakulam district on Friday. The fatal accident took place while he was returning to Srikakulam from Visakhapatnam, after attending a wedding.
DEATH OF Yerran Naidu has been mourned by the state and the national leaders. Governor ESL Narasimhan, chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, deputy chief minister Damodar Rajanarasimha, state Congress chief Botsa Satyanarayana and
Tamil Nadu governor K Rosaiah condoled Naidu's death.
Also, Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, Vice President M. Hamid Ansari and Prime Minister Dr.
Manmohan Singh have condoled the passing away of Naidu.
Ansari in his condolence message said, “I am deeply saddened by the tragic and untimely demise of my friend, Shri K. Yerran Naidu, former MP and ex-Union Minister for Rural Development. Shri Naidu had a long and illustrious political career as a Member of Parliament."
Singh in condolence message stated, “I have learned with profound sorrow about the tragic demise of Shri Yerran Naidu in a road accident. In his death, we have lost a distinguished Parliamentarian and political personality who made a valuable contribution to public life in Andhra Pradesh and India. My heart goes out in sympathy to the members of the bereaved family”.
