Train accident: Gorakhdham Express hits stationary goods train; around 30 killed
At one side when the country is preparing itself to welcome the new Prime Minister post the swearing-in ceremony this evening, a tragic rail accident has taken place in Uttar Pradesh killing around 30 people and injuring more than 100.
PM-designate Narendra Modi has spoken to the Cabinet secretary Ajit Seth and asked him to provide every possible help to the victims and their relatives.

Gorakhpur bound Gorakhdham Express going from Haryana's Hissar via New Delhi hit a stationary goods wagon on its way somewhere around afternoon in UP's Sant Kabir Nagar district.

The impact of the collision was so hard that several bogeys of the passenger train derailed and piled over each other. The preliminary but unconfirmed reports are indicating toward human error behind this fatal accident.

The Gorakhdham express hit the goods train at the Chureb station between Gorakhpur and Gonda in Uttar Pradesh. As per reports the express train was at a high-speed when it collided with the goods train as there was no stoppage of it at that station.

Railways relief train, along with several doctors and railways' higher officials are reaching to the spot to help in the rescue effort.
