TRANSFORMERS: DARK of the Moon is emerging as a global hit in the box office with a revenue of $645 million from the day of its release. In the second week alone, the movie has garnered as much as $140 million. The third sequel to the previously hit film is the number one film in the United States and Canada making as much money as $47 in sales. The competition was tough with two other films, 'Horrible Bosses' making $28 million and 'Zookeeper' that made $21 million.
According to the distributors of the Paramount Pictures, the third part of the Transformers made it huge in the international market getting $93 million ticket sales from 59 markets. A box office analyst Paul Dergarabedian said, “Transformers 3 is helping the overall marketplace by performing well.
Horrible Bosses, an adult-comedy-genre film did more than expected. It is about three men who are fed-up with their mean bosses and decide to kill them. Big names are surely a big factor, which attracted the audience to the film. The actors to star in the movie are, Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis, along with Jennifer Aniston as one of the bosses.
Zoekeeper; a family drama, also did exceedingly good. According to the distributor Sony Pictures Entertainment this family drama was screened in about 1500 screens and made $7.5 million internationally.
